3 drivers of business

Three key drivers of business are:

  1. Get clients
  2. Keep clients
  3. Get paid by your clients
What are you doing to get clients?  Where are you focusing?  Who are you building relationships with?  What systems do you have in place for capturing new enquiries?  How do you record new enquiries, and how do you follow them up?  What are your targets - how many new clients are your aiming for, and for what size of order?  Having clearly defined targets will help you to stay focused.

How do you keep your clients?  What do you offer them to increase customer loyalty?  How do you add value for your clients?  How do you reward them?  What are your targets for retention and referral?  How well have you communicated these to your team?

What systems do you have in place for ensuring that you're paid for work you've done?  Are your records up to date?  What systems do you have for following up on late payments?  Is this system automatically updated?  What are your targets for debtor management?

When was the last time you stood back and reviewed your business - worked on it instead of in it?
